What causes upper back pain?

1. Poor posture and weak muscles

4. Osteoarthritis

Bone and joint conditions can also give you some serious back pain as well. Osteoarthritis, is the most common form of arthritis among older adults. The cartilage that cushions and protects the bones may wear down as a person ages, this may cause the bones to rub together. This can also put pressure on the nerves in the spine, causing numbness or tingling in the arms and legs.

Above are some of the example of what causes back pain. Most cases of back pain appear because of lifestyle issues. In these cases, lifestyle changes, such as regular exercise and stretching, may help relieve pain.

In cases of trauma or chronic back pain, people should see a doctor for a proper diagnosis. Anyone who is uncertain where to begin should ask their doctor about their pain and treatment options. Self diagnose is not recommended.
