What cause the numbness and tingling feeling on my back?
The most common way to explain a tingling feeling is the pins-and-needles, stinging,or crawling sensation in the back. Its also depends on what cause that and which part of the body we feel, the feeling can be for short while or long term. The most common caused of the tingling in the back are nerve compression, damage, or irritation.

Brachial plexopathy
There is a group of nerves call brachial plexus in the spinal column that send signal s to our shoulders, arms, hands and fingers. If any of this nerve is being compressed or stretched, it will develope a tingling or stinging pain.
Normally the pain you will fell is in the arms and it last only for a while. The stinging feeling can spread to neck and shoulders.
Fibromyalgia
Fibromyalgia is a central nervous system disorder that will effect muscle pain and fatigue. The pain will range from dull and achy to tingling pain, it is often worsen in areas where there’s a lot of movement, such as the shoulders and neck area.

Shingles is an infection caused by the same virus that produces chickenpox. It affects nerve endings.
