What is Patellar Tendon Tear?
Patellar Tendon Tears is a tear in the muscles in the front of your thigh which is usually used to straighten your legs. A complete tear of the Patellar Tendon is a disabling injury which requires surgery to recover. This injury is more common among middle-aged people who runs or do jumping sports.
Symptoms of Patellar Tendon Tear
- Bruising
- Tenderness
- Cramping
- Unable to straighten your knee
- Kneecap may move up into the thigh because it is no longer anchored to your shinbone
