What is Boxer Fracture?

Boxer Fracture is a fracture at the neck of the metacarpal bone (the middle bone of your finger). Sometime also known as Brawler Fracture because only inexperience “puncher” will tend to hurt themself with this injury.

Symptoms of Boxer Fracture

  • Pain and tenderness
  • Swell, discolor, bruise
  • Mis-alignment of the finger when making a fist with the affected hand

Causes of Boxer Fracture

  • Impact of a clenched fist on a hard immovable object
