What causes serratus anterior pain?
The most common causes of pain are, over used and minor injury. Serratus anterior pain is common for active sports person, example of sports with repetitive motions, such as swimming, tennis, or weightlifting especially with heavy weights.
Some other medical condition may cause pain on the serratus anterior such as, slipped or broken ribs, inflammation or infection of the lung and chest tissues, ankylosing spondylitis or asthma.
Pain at serratus anterior mainly the result of pain in the chest, back, or arms. people with this issue normally find it difficult to lift the arms over the head or the arms and shoulder range of motion might affected. Other symptoms are, arm and finger pain, pain when taking deep breath, tightness, pain int he chest or breast, and pain in shoulder blade.
More severe conditions are, pain that effect the sleep or daily activities, pain on the back and the chest got worsen even after long rest and muscles still pain after starting or increasing dosage of the medications.
